CHECKING DOCUMENTS IN THE EVENT OF A ROAD CHECK CAN BE SIMPLIFIED BY USING EVO
During a training session, agents of the National Public Security Inspectorate were trained by digital governance experts on how to use the governmental application EVO in their professional work. The training aimed to familiarize the NPSI officers with the modules available in the application, in particular the one related to digital documents, and how they can recognize, accept, check and validate documents in digital format, based on Law No. 321/2023.
EVO app is an innovation and represents a significant evolution in electronic document management that allows users to quickly access their ID card, driver’s license, car registration certificate - directly on their mobile device, eliminating the need to carry the document on physical media at all times. Via the app, drivers can present their personal documents during a road check, simplifying checking for police officers.
During the training, EGA experts presented all the modules available in the EVO application and answered questions raised by NPSI agents to better understand the options provided by the new integrated government e-services application.
Training and education programme on knowledge and use of new digital governance solutions is part of EGA’s efforts to achieve the objectives of the National Digital Transformation Strategy for 2023-2030, aiming to modernize the public sector by 100% digitalization of processes.
As a reminder, EVO - the unique app for citizens’ interaction with the State, represents the access point to public information and services, available on iOS and Android. The app was officially launched on June 6th, 2024, by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and is being implemented with the support of development partners: The Future Technologies Project, funded by USAID, Sweden and the United Kingdom; as well as with the support of Ukraine Moldova American Enterprise Fund, UNDP and the World Bank.
