Digital governance training session for Customs Service employees
The e-Governance Agency (EGA) continues its mission to promote digital literacy for better adoption of technological innovations and alignment with digital transformation. During a training session organized today, Customs Service representatives were briefed by digital governance experts on how to use the new digital governance solutions in customs work.
The aim of the training was to present the governmental applications EVO and EVOSign, governmental digital platforms, the ways in which documents in digital format can be recognized, accepted and verified, based on the Law No. 321/2023.
According to the agenda, experts and trainers from the e-Governance Agency (EGA), Artur Reaboi, chief architect, Ion Stratan, digital projects/products manager, Valeriu Poia, EVO application manager and Olesea Berestean, head of the Center for Innovation and Training in Digital Governance presented:
- e-governance signature services, data access, powers of attorney: MSign, MCabinet, MPower;
- governmental application EvoSign, a new authentication tool;
- EVO e-services integrated application: regulatory framework, process of use, benefits and guarantees of the application, ways to use it in different interactions;
- Governmental distance learning platform MLearn, which offers them flexibility and continuity in training and deepening their digital skills and others.
EGA experts provided a detailed insight into how digital solutions can help automate and streamline processes and increase transparency in customs work, as well as answered questions posed by Customs Service representatives to better understand the benefits of new applications.
At the same time, other e-governance solutions were also presented to the participants: MDelivery, Unified Public Service Delivery Centers (CUPS), Public Services Portal, etc.
The representatives of the Customs Service appreciated such discussion sessions as very useful and were interested in addressing the issues related to the use of electronic signature for signing, verification or authentication in various information systems, the provisions of the regulatory framework in force, challenges and advantages in signing electronic documents using various digital signature tools available in the Republic of Moldova.
The e-Governance Agency assumes with responsibility the mission of supporting the process of digital literacy both through offline training, organized in the rooms of the Training Center of the EGA, and online, through the MLearn platform, with the mission of contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the National Strategy for Digital Transformation for the years 2023-2030, which aims to modernize the public sector by digitizing the processes in a 100% proportion.
