IMPACT OF INFORMATION SESSIONS IN THE TERRITORY. EGA BRINGS DIGITAL EDUCATION TO LEOVA AND BRĂTUȘENI
Digital Information and Education Programme, launched by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) earlier this year, reached Leova and Brătușeni, Edineț, at the invitation of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) partners within the EU4Moldova programme: Local Communities, funded by the European Union and the governments of Germany, Austria and Poland.
Thereby, more than 100 students from Vocational School in Leova Town and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Agrarian Economy in Bratușeni, Edineț, took part in information activities organised by specialists from the e-Governance Agency team.
Participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the most important digital services and platforms provided by EGA, such as digital identity and signature, e-payments, Cultural Voucher, powers of attorney, accessing online public services via the Public Services Portal, delivery of documents, access to electronic data in the virtual personal cabinet and many other digital platforms of interest for young people, but also for the collective of teachers who attended.
Participants appreciated the activities as useful, with new content and relevant to them. Success of the two information sessions in the territory organised on March 18th and 21st this year marks an important step towards expanding the Digital Information and Education Programme in rural areas, which will continue with other activities in the territory.
These sessions are part of our joint efforts to bring digital education to young people in rural communities and a better understanding of government digital opportunities for young people. Sets of informational materials, created with support from the World Bank Group, were distributed to participants to support them in their learning and exploration of these digital resources.
Two further sessions will be held in Strășeni and Cupcini during April.
As a reminder, this week, EGA also organised an information session based on government digital solutions for entrepreneurs, at the initiative of Fintech Hub Moldova, attended by about 20 business and academic representatives.
