The e-Governance Agency’s (EGA) 2024 Digital Information and Education Programme has been completed with another round of training for 200 volunteers, who will gain knowledge and skills in the use of electronic public services and pass on these skills to 1000 elderly people in 10 localities across the country.

The information session agenda, held on January 25^th for the first group of 22 volunteers, included several topics related to: Accessing services online on the Public Services Portal; Signing electronic documents via MSign; Granting powers of attorney via MPower; Accessing data via MCabinet; Making payments via MPay and other topics relevant to the elderly, who will be helped by volunteers to interact with the State via technology, using electronic public services.

The beneficiaries of these trainings are selected by HelpAge International Moldova, an implementing partner of the UN Population Fund which supports the implementation of the activities of the National Programme on Active and Healthy Ageing for 2023-2027 and contributes to improving access of the elderly to digitalization and electronic public services, strengthening social cohesion, and continuing intergenerational dialogue.

The following information and digital education sessions for Help Age International Moldova volunteers will be conducted by EGA from January to February 2024 in online and offline formats.

Earlier, for digital inclusion of seniors, the e-Governance Agency trained an additional 180 volunteers in e-government services, who then became facilitators in their communities and passed on the information learned to the project’s beneficiaries, 630 seniors in 26 communities across the country, aged 63+.
