The piloting of 19 digitized civil status services starts today, March 23, 2023.

With an electronic signature and an electronic device connected to the Internet, any citizen of the Republic of Moldova can apply for and request delivery of civil status documents 24/7, remotely, regardless of their location.

Moreover, those who have an electronic signature will be able to request civil status documents both for themselves and for their relatives, with no need to go to the multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency or the diplomatic missions/consular offices of the Republic of Moldova abroad.

The process of applying for civil status certificates and duplicates, extracts from the civil status records, multilingual extracts, notices and other information documents has been simplified and standardized for all the 19 modernized services. As these services are integrated almost with all the platform services developed by EGA,

- it is now much easier to fill out the applications, as many fields are automatically pre-filled through queries sent by the system to the State Register of Population;

- the payments for services can be made through MPay;

- citizens can choose to pick up the documents requested online or order their delivery to their door through the government’s delivery service MDelivery;

- the status of applications can be tracked online both on the FOD platform and in the Citizen’s portal (https://mcabinet.gov.md);

- applicants will receive notifications through MNotify;

- the civil status documents can be requested based on a notarized authorization or based on the authorization received through MPower.

The new services have been developed by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) in partnership with the Public Services Agency on the Front-Office Digitization (FOD) platform and are available online on the Public Services Portal - servicii.gov.md.

The civil status services built on the FOD platform are yet at the piloting phase and will be improved with new functionalities over the next weeks. More details coming soon!
