IT COMPANIES WERE TRAINED IN PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES FOLLOWED BY EGA

2022-10-21 19:05

Attracting qualified ICT companies to develop digital solutions and digital transformation projects launched by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) was the goal of the workshop organized today, 21 October 2022, for a group of more than 20 beneficiaries who registered for participation.

The workshop entitled “Participate in national digital projects launched by EGA” focused on guiding the representatives of ICT companies in developing and filling out expressions of interest, the format and preparation of the file for participation in procurement procedures within the tenders launched by the e-Governance Agency.

The trainees received instructions, recommendations and useful information on specific requirements regarding the procurement procedures followed by EGA, and on how to apply to projects involving the development of new information systems that are part of the agenda of digital transformation of the public sector in the Republic of Moldova. The following issues were addressed:

- Principles of public procurement;

- Relevant regulatory framework;

- Methods of procurement of information systems development services, used by the e-Governance Agency;

- Stages of procurement using the CQS and QCBS methods;

- Completion/preparation of proposals and other issues relating to the specific aspects of implementation of digital solution development projects.

"Since 2010, the e-governance team has been constantly developing digital solutions in cooperation with the private sector, as the public sector has a limited capacity to develop more complex projects. It is true that we are more competitive in partnership with qualified private companies and we constantly capitalize on the capacity of local private entities, with which we manage to develop sustainable digital solutions. Currently, EGA is implementing the Modernization of Public Services Project with the support of the World Bank Group, as part of which some electronic services and information systems have already been developed. However, we are also looking for reliable partners in other projects”, said Olga Tumuruc, EGA Director.

The workshop was conducted by a team of public procurement specialists and experts in the management of digitalization projects employed by EGA, who answered the participants’ questions and reiterated that the agency was open for cooperation with the private sector and a broader involvement of local companies in the digital transformation process coordinated by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, through the e-Governance Agency.

The participants appreciated the usefulness of the training workshop and mentioned that they are interested in continuing such regular trainings.
