For 12 years, the e-Governance Agency (EGA) has been building an efficient, participatory and transparent e-Governance, focused on the needs of citizens, offering them quality and friendly public services, by means of technology and innovation. Digital transformation is a priority for the Republic of Moldova, and the role of the e-Governance Agency in its acceleration is more and more important.

Being the successor of the Electronic Governance Centre, established on 18 August 2010 by the State Chancellery, the Public Institution "Electronic Governance Agency" is a team of the best specialists in digitalization and successfully implements projects of e-transformation and modernization of government services in the Republic of Moldova, with the constant support of development partners. Based on numerous partnerships and cooperation with public and private actors, the EGA managed to create an efficient e-governance infrastructure and to launch electronic services and platforms for citizens, public institutions and businesses, such as: MCloud, MLog, MSign, MPass, MConnect, MPay, MPower, MNotify, MCabinet, MDelivery, servicii.gov.md and date.gov.md portals and other digital solutions.

In order to make public services more accessible to Moldovan citizens, the EGA initiated an innovative project - the creation of Unified Service Provision Centres in the country's rural areas and in diplomatic missions abroad. Also, starting in 2022, the personal documents of the Moldovan citizens, including those from the diaspora, can be delivered through the Government Delivery Service – MDelivery – an information platform created by EGA that ensures the connection between public service providers, courier service providers and beneficiaries of public services, in a safe and accessible way.

The digital tools developed by EGA helped in managing crises – pandemic, by means of COVID certificates and digital epidemiological cards; refugee crisis, by launching the dopomoga.gov.md platform, digital identity number (IDNP) for refugees and others.

The EGA team promotes with dignity the image of our country worldwide. Thus, the Republic of Moldova is firmly advancing in its European integration process in terms of digital transformation, and is developing bilateral partnerships that open great perspectives for our country, such as the Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Romania in the field of digital transformation, which aims at creating a common digital space.
