As of 1 September 2021, the Public Institution "e-Governance Agency" (EGA) has a new management. The new head of the institution is Olga Tumuruc, who previously held the position of Head of the Data Exchange and Interoperability Service within the institution.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization Iurie Turcanu introduced the new Director to the EGA team. The official mentioned that Ms. Tumuruc is a highly qualified specialist who has brought a significant contribution to the most complex reforms in digital transformation, leading the Data Exchange and Interoperability team, where she showed the highest professional and management qualities.

In his speech addressing the EGA team, Iurie Turcanu stressed that in the next period the institution would focus on several priorities, including: Reengineering of public services; Digital governance - turnkey digital solutions offered to authorities; Streamlining the implementation of foreign assistance and channelling it towards the implementation of the e-governance agenda; Development of the information society in the Republic of Moldova, etc.

In her turn, Olga Tumuruc thanked for the trust she received from the Government and expressed her confidence that with the support of the team and by the involvement of each specialist, the objectives will be achieved. "We have great objectives and an action plan of the Government that fully reflects the objectives of the EGA. I will come up with proposals, with new ideas that we will discuss with our colleagues and I hope that, in a short time, we will become a top team that will produce those transformations that the country needs. I want every employee to be proud to have contributed to this major and irreversible process of digitalization of the Republic of Moldova”.

The colleagues appreciated the decision of the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, founder of the EGA, to appoint a person from within the institution as a director, a person who is well familiar with both the specifics of the activity and the team's potential and who will certainly have the necessary support in implementing all reforms.
