The online payment promotion campaign, initiated by the Government Electronic Payment Service MPay, in partnership with the Visa International Company, ended on 25 December 2021. During two months, MPay users had the opportunity to participate in the raffle and win the prizes prepared by the organizers.
Some of the most valuable prizes offered by MPay and Visa were two Apple iPhones that were awarded to Igor Ratcov and Boris Cretu, and two Apple smart watches that were awarded to Augustina Prisacari and Serghei Tomaili.
Also, 50 lucky people who made payments through MPay won 50 certificates worth 500 lei each, to be used in the "Darwin" stores, which were awarded as part of this promotional campaign.
The two draws took place on 25 November and 25 December 2021, and the name of each winner is recorded on the MPay electronic payment portal: https://bit.ly/3mQ0F8D. All in all, about 2926 people who participated in the promotion campaign, made 4588 payment transactions through MPay with a Visa card.
The promotion campaign was valid only for end consumers of state services within the MPay electronic payment system, which they accessed exclusively for personal consumption, and not for commercial purposes.
It should be mentioned that the MPay Service, in partnership with the Visa International Company, carries out on regular basis information and public awareness campaigns on the security of online payments. Thus, they aim to encourage consumers to make electronic payments for public services in order to highlight the benefits and convenience of such payments.
In 2021, the Government Electronic Payment Service MPay enjoyed popularity among users and recorded about 6 million transactions worth over 4 billion lei, which is 1.3 billion lei higher compared to the same period of 2020.
