On May 25, 2023 the e-Governance Agency hosted the Digital Transformation Academy, attended by the best e-governance experts from Moldova and other 4 Eastern Partnership countries.

The experts met for 5 days in Chisinau to participate in the workshops organized by GIS Eastern Partnership Regional Fund for Public Administration Reform and SIGMA (Support for improvement in Governance and Management).

The purpose of the workshops was to exchange experience and good practices at regional level, as well as the synergies of concepts and knowledge about public service design, which contribute to improving the performance of public institutions and creating networks of authorities engaged in digital transformation.

Given that modernization of public services is a strategic priority of all the Eastern Partnership countries, today’s agenda included discussions on the electronic identity e-ID and mutual recognition of electronic signatures and trust services, as well as the nationwide implementation of the digital ID.

The Digital Transformation Academy held in Chisinau between May 22 and 26, 2023 included discussions on digital transformation strategies, interoperability of IT systems and data exchange, electronic signature and trust services, AI opportunities and challenges in service delivery etc.

The next editions of the Digital Transformation Academy will take place in Georgia and Germany this year.
