An important goal of this Agreement deals with the IT smart use in developing electronic services with the aim to secure a high qualification level of UTM graduates, by integrating the experience of government institutions in developing technological products and rendering Government electronic services into the education process.

The Agreement also covers the establishment of a framework for joint activity and sharing the experience in the area of digital innovations by conducting profile actions to include: seminars, conferences, joint applicative research and sharing of ideas aimed to boost the digitalization component in the Republic of Moldova. Likewise, the Agreement comprises clauses concerning the joint development of the research area, providing continuing education and training of employees in the areas of major interest to improve their qualification, specialisation and retraining as per the ICT sector current trends.

The EGA and UTM Cooperation Agreement entered into force as soon as the Managers of the Signatory Institutions affixed the electronic signatures during a meeting conducted at the e-Governance Agency Headquarters.

The EGA Director, Olga Tumuruc expressed her firm belief that such Partnership would bring the expected results and offer new perspectives to both Parties.

In turn, the UTM Rector, Viorel Bostan has mentioned that the ICT sector is particularly dynamic, and could serve as an example for other sectors of the country economy, whereas the partnerships among the Academia and public institutions would significantly contribute to continuing education of professionals, and, therefore, to the development of the branch as a whole.

The E-Governance Agency shall continue developing long-term partnership ties with various academic and private sector institutions to foster synergies of the digital transformation process and achieve the strategic goals.
