The e-Governance Agency (EGA) activity in the current year commences with the prioritisation of the institutional goals, Digital Literacy being one of its priorities.

Today, 20 January 2022, the EGA has organised a training course under the Project “Rethink your Age! Connecting Socially and Digitally Young and Old People in Moldova”.

Circa 50 participants got acquainted with the EGA goals and mission, and enjoyed detailed training concerning the functionality and utility of the Authentication and Access Control Service – MPass, Government Service of Electronic Payments – MPay, Electronic Signature – MSign and Register of Representation Powers – MPower, including the Public Services Portal – a guiding catalogue with steps to be undertaken to get a public service, such as: registering an asset, seeking a personal ID certificate or a real estate certificate, etc. Likewise, EGA Experts, Svetlana Macrinici, Ion Budeci and Alexandru Turcanu illustrated the process of remote access to/settlement for various services.

The event goal is to provide the participants with qualified knowledge. The trainees, having theoretical and practical skills in using the electronic public services, may subsequently act as volunteers, showing other community people how to use the digital tools.

The second training session under the Project: “Rethink your Age! Connecting Socially and Digitally Young and Old People in Moldova” is part of a series of activities aimed to support social and digital inclusion of old people, having engaged young volunteers out of 15 country communities to this end.

The Project is funded by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), and is supported by the Moldcell Foundation and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Moldova, being implemented jointly with HelpAge International Moldova in partnership with the Moldovan Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
